Wichita East High School’s Tobi Osunsanmi –
Prep Performance of the Month Presented by Hog Wild Pit BBQ
Tobi Osunsanmi, Wichita East High School Tobi Osunsanmi started playing football in the second grade and his love for the game has continued to grow. Coming into his senior season, Osunsanmi said there are several things about the game of football he loves. “What I love most about the game is how everything comes together when everything is executed correctly, also the physicality of the game,” said Osunsanmi.
His efforts on the field caught the attention of several college scouts, but it was Kansas State that ultimately landed one of the top players in the state. The work he puts in before the game is played translates to success on the field. “I think I’ve improved on my understanding and analysis of the other team’s offense and being more fluid in my movements,” said Osunsanmi. Coming into this season, Osunsanmi is focused on helping his team be successful on and off the field.
My expectations for my team are to be better than last year and make sure we keep our team chemistry,” said Osunsanmi. The future mechanical engineer and college football player said his favorite player is Darius Leonard, because of their similarities and playing style. In his free time, you can usually find Osunsanmi playing video games or cooking something. “I’m always hungry,” said Osunsanmi.
