The big man in the paint for Wichita Southeast this season is Keaton Williams. Williams, now a senior, is expected to be the Buffaloes go-to player this season according to head coach Joe Mitchell. Williams believes this team has what it takes to put something together in his final year of high school basketball.
“I love that we have good chemistry because everybody is friends off the court and we have experience playing together,” said Williams. “This season I am excited to see what the seniors and underclassmen can do at the varsity level because for most part, this is their first time playing varsity.”
As a student-athlete at Southeast, Williams said playing and representing his school is something special.
“For me it’s special playing at Southeast because it’s known for basketball and it’s basically rivals for every school,” said Williams.
The forward/center plans to graduate and attend college for architecture.
