Andover Central’s Brooklyn Fleske – Via Christi Behind the Scenes Spotlight

Andover Central junior Brooklyn Fleske is in her second season as team manager for the boy’s varsity basketball team. Head coach Tyler Richardson said his team managers, including Fleske, do it all. 

“You name it, they do it. They are excited each day to help the team in whatever way possible and the team knows that our managers are a major part of us succeeding.” Fleske said she loves being around the team and watching them succeed on the court. 

“I love being able to support the boys and seeing them succeed and do well throughout the season,” said Fleske. “I love how close our whole team is. We are like a little family. I have 16 big brothers at school because of them.” Fleske also performs with the theatre department and choir program with plans to spearhead the prom planning committee. She is also involved in National Honor Society, the Under the Cross Club and she will compete with the girl’s swim team in the spring. Fleske said other people who have helped her out while serving as team manager. 

“My first year, Ashtian Canfield taught me everything I know. This season Loren Parker and Jordyn Washington help me manage the team,” said Fleske. 

Fleske will graduate with an associate degree and hopes to finish her undergraduate degree majoring in athletic training eventually go on to physician assistant school.
