WSU Tech’s Pull a Plane

Mark your calendars and rev your engines because Saturday, March 9 is the day that the Pull a Plane for Education event takes flight! Twenty-five teams from across Wichita will compete to pull B-29 Doc (a restored B-29 weighing in at nearly 80,000 pounds) 25 feet down the ramp in the quickest time!

But this isn’t just for the competitors — it’s for YOU too! This unique fundraising event is open to the public, complete with a lineup of activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Kid’s Pull
New to the Pull a Plane for Education event this year is a Kid’s Pull event! Kids ages 7 to 17 can sign up to pull a Cessna Skyhawk.

Paper Airplane Contest
Test your aeronautical design skills during the Paper Airplane Contest!

FutureMaker Mobile Learning Lab
Try your hand at riveting, VR welding and painting, drone simulators and robotics.

Ground and Cockpit Tours of B-29 Doc
After the Medal Ceremony concludes, B-29 Doc will be open for ground and cockpit tours for attendees of all ages.

Lunch Prepared by Wichita Wagonmasters
Individuals who are registered on a Pull a Plane team will receive lunch prepared by the Wichita Wagonmasters. Meals can be purchased for $10.

Admission to the Pull a Plane for Education event is $10 per person or $25 for a family, which includes access to the Pull a Plane for Education event and all activities inside the hangar.
