The junior centerfielder for the Trinity Knights, Connor Davis, has started since his freshman season according to head coach Bret Lentz.
“Connor will be one of the main leaders on our team coming into this season. In a season of a lot of young players he is the only returner with varsity experience, having started since his freshman year,” said coach Lentz.
For Davis, being a leader is being a teammate everyone can turn to, being coachable and performing under pressure.
“Leading by example sets good habits for a team; showing up the field everyday excited to be there, first there and last one to leave, finding ways to get work in when others might not want to. These are all practices I try to implement into my everyday life,” said Davis.
This is an exciting time for the Davis and his teammates.
“In 2019, my freshman year, we made it to state and ended the year only graduating one starting senior. We had very high hopes and energy going into the season with plans to replicate what we had done the previous season with a few additional players that could definitely help us get even further than the year before. My hopes are remaining high for the year, even with a brand-new team, I’m super excited to get the year rolling,” said Davis.
