Wichita Collegiate Athlete Spotlight: Jacob Chugg

Wichita Collegiate senior Jacob Chugg is a three-sport student-athlete playing football, basketball and he runs track. Chugg is the type of player you want on your team. Excellent work ethic and drive to be successful. But Chugg is more than just a great athlete. Upon graduating from Collegiate, Chugg plans to attend college and study a field that is challenging and in demand.

“I plan to go to college and study to be a mechanical engineer,” said Chugg.

The running back and safety for the varsity football team said his team has one goal this season and that goal includes leaving behind a legacy for the underclassmen to be proud of and continue to strive for once the senior class is gone.

“Well, our goal for this year is to win a state championship, so that is the legacy we want to leave behind,” said Chugg. “Everyone on our team is bought in and has the same goal in mind.”

Jacob Chugg represents what is good in high school athletics and serves as a superb ambassador for Wichita Collegiate High School.
