Valley Center High School senior Noah Simmons averaged 8.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocked shots a game last year. This season, Simmons is looking to add to those totals.
“I’m excited to play with my teammates again, and to get to lead some of the new players in the program,” said Simmons. “Most of us have playing together for a long time, and our chemistry is really good. We know each other’s game well and do a great job bouncing off each other.”
Last year Simmons was an All-League Honorable Mention selectee. The 6-foot-8 senior is focused and ready to leave a legacy for Valley Center players to follow. “As a senior I want to be remembered for being a man of faith, and as leader on and off the court,” said Simmons.
As a freshman, Simmons attended the Wichita Driving School and said he really enjoyed having that opportunity.“I really enjoyed driving with the instructors,” said Simmons. “One thing that surprised me was all the new information I learned about the rules of driving.” Next year Simmons plans to drive his way to college and pursue a basketball playing career while working towards a degree in marketing and possibly coaching.
