Pretty Prairie’s McKenna Vogl – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Wichita Hoops

By Matt Browning

McKenna Vogl of Pretty Prairie had a lot of support from fans in VYPE’s online basketball poll.

“I’m grateful to have that kind of support and to know that I have people standing with me supporting me through my basketball journey,” Vogl said.

Last season, Vogl was a first team all-league selection and honorable mention all state. She averaged nine points and ten rebounds for the Bulldogs, which lost in the second round of sub-state.

Getting to the state tournament is the main goal for Pretty Prairie this season and Vogl knows what she has to improve on in order for the Bulldogs to get there.

“I need to improve my perimeter shooting,” Vogl said. “And to slowly improve my game physically as well as mentally.”

Vogl also participates in volleyball and track at Pretty Prairie. Outside of sports, she also is involved in Bulldog Buddies, Yearbook and cheer.

Her college is undecided at this time, but she wants to be a physical education teacher and coach.
