Northwest’s Kaylie Nelson – JOMA Bowler of the Month

The JOMA Bowler of the Month is Kaylie Nelson of Northwest. Nelson is a junior at Northwest High School and a member of the bowling team. She started playing the sport in the fifth grade.

Bowling has given Nelson the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.

“I’ve enjoyed the people I have come into contact ever since I’ve been apart of the bowling team. I’ve created some wonderful friendships and shared some incredible memories with the people closest to me,” said Nelson. “I love everyone’s confidence in me and all of the support I’ve received from my team, win or lose we are still there for one another. I have also enjoyed making friends that go beyond bowling and I know I can turn to them whenever.”

Nelson would like to attend college after she graduates from Northwest. Her dream is to help kids in need.

“The ultimate goal would be a special education teacher,” said Nelson.

When she’s not at the lanes or working on school assignments you can find her creating art.

“When I’m not bowling I’m usually creating artwork, whether it be taking photos, drawing, painting, or sculpting. I love to do it all. One day I want to connect with the special education students through artwork.”
