Mulvane’s Gabrielle Human – JOMA Bowler of the Month

By Matt Browning

Gabrielle Human of Mulvane was chosen as the JOMA Bowler of the Month for June. Human carried an average of 505 and finished 54th at the 5-1A Tournament in February.

“My biggest accomplishment I think was just making it to state two different times in high school and my goals going forward are just always getting better even if it’s by a little bit,” Human said.

In the offseason, Human spends her time at West Acres, Derby Bowl and Seneca Bowl, where she learned bowling from her uncle and step-dad.

“Bowling became a significant interest the summer before my freshman year and I realized that I good when I was still starting out and just learning the basics,” Human said. “I have bowled in a few leagues at Derby Bowl, Seneca Bowl, and West Acres and have gotten help from my uncle and my step dad.”

Human spent some time in Debate and Forensics at Mulvane, but ultimately focused on bowling.

Next year, Human plans to attend Cowley County Community College. After that she will go to either Wichita State or Friends and wants to be a marriage and family therapist.
