A two-sport athlete at Maize High School, Tanner Carter may have had is school year in the classroom cut short, but the football and basketball player was able to get in both seasons and play very well.
“I’ve played football since I was in third grade and basketball since the fifth grade,” said Carter.
The senior loves playing with her teammates, especially those he got to suit up this year.
“I love how unselfish everyone is, how we push each other to work harder, and how we always have each others back,” said Carter.
But with the school year cut short, there are some things he misses about being on campus.
“I miss seeing all my friends and since it was my senior year I really wanted to just soak everything in one last time and make it the best it could be,” said Carter.
Next year Carter, like many of his classmates, will embark on their first year of college life. Carter plans to attend Butler Community College next fall.
