Kapaun’s Will Anciaux – Visit Salina’s Winning Edge Athlete of the Month

Will Anciaux of Kapaun was chosen as the Visit Salina Athlete of the Month. Anciaux had 283 receiving yards last season and averaged over 30 yards per game.

“I am feeling very confident about the upcoming season,” Anciaux said. “We have a lot of talent coming back on our team and we have put in a lot of work this summer in order to pick up right where we left off last season.”

Anciaux trained for the season in the weight room and on the field focusing on his strength and speed.

“To prepare for this upcoming season, one of the biggest things I did to improve was really focus on the weightlifting and getting stronger,” Anciaux said. “Along with that I also spent a lot of time putting emphasis on my footwork and route running.”

Anciaux knows his team is ready to get out on the field again after going 10-2 last season.

“I would say that I have pretty high expectations for our team this year,” Anciaux said. “I know that we are capable of great things, and we are going to do all we can to bring the best out of ourselves this year.”

Committed to Kansas State, Anciaux has big plans for his future.

“For college, I will attend and play football at Kansas State University,” Anciaux said. “I am undecided yet on what I want to major in. In a few years, if playing professionally is a possibility, I would love to pursue that.”
