With the season upon us, Teagan Charles of Kapaun Mt. Carmel is excited to play for head coach Steve Eck and show the state what KMC basketball is capable of this year.
“I’m excited to get the season started and the great opportunity to play for coach Eck. I’m also excited because I feel we have a good team, and I can’t wait to see what we can do,” said Charles. “I like the fact that we get along on and off the court as a team. I love our team chemistry this year and we all have confidence in each other.”
Many would agree with Charles, that being a student-athlete at Kapaun is special. “What makes it special is the support. It’s a real family atmosphere here. Everyone shares in the success, from the volleyball team, girls golf, soccer team and the football team playing to go to state. I ran cross country this year and we took fifth in the state meet. The positive energy at Kapaun is great,” said Charles.
Charles is called the “unsung hero” of the team and has improved on his ability to shoot, which is a big reason why he will see plenty of playing time this season.
