Kapaun Mt. Carmel’s Cole Hough – Schmidt’s Welding Player Profile

Cole Hough is a senior at Kapaun Mt. Carmel and recently signed his letter of intent to play football at Coffeyville Community College. His decision to play at the next level comes after a great senior season for the Crusaders.

“The camaraderie we have, how we came together to have a winning season and turning our program around are the things I will remember most,” said Hough.

The road hasn’t always been smooth for Hough, but he fought through the obstacles to join his teammates on the field for his final season.

“I tore my labrum a week before our first game of my junior year and was out for the season. Had surgery, went through rehab and was cleared to play for senior year. I came back and was able to get an offer to play college ball,” said Hough.

Hough said one of his favorite memories as a player for Kapaun Mt. Carmel was beating Salina South, 74-0. Hough also competes in track for the Crusaders and is looking forward to competing this spring. Hough is excited to see what the future holds for him. For now, he is content enjoying his final days at Kapaun and looking forward to his opportunity to play college football.

“Right now, I’m getting ready to play next fall and enjoying my last days in high school,” said Hough.
