Only a freshman at Kapaun Mount Carmel, Carly Wolgamuth is already turning heads with her play on the field. Wolgamuth has played softball for eight seasons, but this was her first year on the varsity team. The pitcher/third baseman said she’s enjoyed being part of the team.
“The season has been going very good. I have had so much fun with my new teammates making new memories, playing against new teams and new girls I’ve never played against,” said Wolgamuth. “I love the bond that our team has developed, we all are there to play softball and to have fun. We all have the same goal, and we aren’t just playing for ourselves we are playing for each other. I have made some of my best friends on this team and I couldn’t be happier.”
While Wolgamuth is focused on school and softball, she also plays for a summer league team, the Kansas Bluesox. Summer ball will take up the majority of her summer, but she is already looking forward to returning to school ball and playing with her new teammates.
“Being a student-athlete at KMC has been very special to me because, KMC is preparing me to become a better student and athlete,” said Wolgamuth.
