Katlyn Coker is a senior goalkeeper for the Heights girls soccer team, where expectations were high heading into the season, as the Falcons looked to make a significant jump in the City League standings.
Coker has been playing club soccer as a goalkeeper since she four years old. During her freshman year, on the first day of tryouts, Coker tore her ACL and meniscus, which sadly ended her season before it even started.
But she worked hard rehabbing and came back her sophomore and junior year, making the varsity team both years.
The Falcons returned seven seniors this season, so optimism was about in the program, where Coker was one of the focal points.
For next season, Coker has already signed to play soccer, specifically goalkeeper, as Central Methodist University, which is in Fayetteville, Missouri.
