Great Bend High School was the most recent school in Kansas to utilize Hellas Construction for their football stadium and track. Installed at the stadium was new turf with Cushdrain technology, a new eight lane track and upgrades to the pole vault and long jump areas.

“We had a great relationship with Hellas,” said Great Bend Athletic Director Matt Westerhaus. “They were very easy to work with and responded to any concerns and items that need to be addressed asap.”

Westerhaus has worked with Hellas on multiple projects and has had the same experience each time.

“I have worked with Hellas on a few projects and they are great people to work with,” Westerhaus said. “They stand behind their outstanding product and customer service and are willing to go the extra mile and provide a top notch, quality product/facility.”

Being able to have top-notch facilities for the students, faculty and community is important to Westerhaus and Great Bend. Hence why they used Hellas.

“It is very important to provide a quality product for our entire community to use that they are proud of, is durable, safe, functional and playable,” Westerhaus said.
