Class 5-1A bowling results (March 4)

Class 5-1A competed today at Northrock Lanes in Wichita.

Congratulations to the following Wichita-area champs and placers.

Class 5-1A

Boys

Kapaun Mount Carmel won the boys title with a 3769 series, also taking the top two spots. Cole Munley won the individual title with a 781 series, while teammate Samuel Calderon took second with a 747 series.

Eisenhower finished second (3414) and Bishop Carroll was fourth (3196).

Trinity Academy took seventh.

Top 10 finishers

First: Cole Munley, Kapaun

Second: Samuel Calderon, Kapaun

Fourth: Chase Young, Salina Central

Fifth: Kyle Ultzsch, Kapaun

Sixth: Andrew Merrell, Eisenhower

Seventh: Lawton Simons, Bishop Carroll

Ninth: Cale McConnell, Eisenhower

Tenth: Tanner Becker, Kapaun

Girls

Bishop Carroll won the Class 5-1A girls bowling title with a 3347 series, and Carroll’s Kaylee Back won the individual title with a 734 series.

Eisenhower finished third, while Augusta was fifth. Salina South was sixth and Kapaun 10th.

Sixth: Lacey Wise, Bishop Carroll

Seventh: Hong Nguyen, Bishop Carroll
