Buhler’s Teigan Nielsen – FCA Athlete of the Month

Teigan Nielsen of Buhler was chosen as the FCA Athlete of the Month for March. Nielsen is an eighth grader at Buhler Middle School.

Nielsen said her spiritual life is important to her in her day-to-day life.

“I have been a part of FCA since my 6th grade year, so three years now,” Nielsen said. “I think that it is very important to incorporate your religion into your everyday life and FCA is a great way to do that.”

Knowing there is a higher power than can push her through difficult and challenging times, Nielsen embraces every moment that is thrown her way.

“My faith gives me strength at the end of the day that a higher power is in control and all things happen for my highest good whether they seem bad or good in the moment,” Nielsen said.

Basketball and soccer are the sports Nielsen plays, but soccer is her favorite for two particular reasons.

“Soccer has been my favorite sport for as long as I can remember,” Nielsen said. “I think this is because it takes a lot of teamwork and endurance.”

Outside of soccer and basketball, Nielsen also participates in FFA and Forensics.
