Buhler’s Carson Moler – Wichita Area “Call of the Wild” Spotlight Presented by Rainier Arms

Buhler High School junior Carson Moler is a member of the varsity baseball and football teams at Buhler. Moler plays first base and utility for the baseball team and is a wide receiver/long snapper for the football team. He loves being part of the team and spending time with his teammates, but his favorite place is the outdoors.

“The family atmosphere is unbelievable here. Being able to grow up in the town and be able see how much of a family this whole town is, it’s really incredible. Every team that I’ve been on has been incredible, always led by very talented seniors, with talented underclassmen. The baseball team that we have right now is one for the books. Our seniors are some of the most baseball minded high schoolers ever. We have a great group of guys that could all start on any given day, no matter who is thrown out on the field we always feel like we are very strong,” said Moler.

Moler said hunting and fishing is just in his blood and being outdoors with nature is fun and challenging at the same time.

“I would have to say hunting is my favorite outdoor activity. Because of the experiences I have had with my family and friends, as well as the hard times and awful weather that I have had to fight through,” said Moler.

It was a family member who first introduced him to the sport.

“My dad introduced me to hunting. He is always pushing me to try new things and has taught me everything that I know. I am really grateful that he introduced me to hunting and fishing,” said Moler.

Moler said he enjoys hunting in Harper County and helping to take care of the land and waterways he visits.

“I think that it’s very important to keep public lands open and accessible. I feel that the more open and natural the lands are, the more opportunity exists for people to discover a new passion and hobby in their lives,” said Moler.

Moler said he plans to play baseball or football in college and possibly pursue a career in sports broadcasting. This summer he plans to play a lot of sports and do some fishing with his friends and family.
