Tate Blasi of Bishop Carroll was chosen as the Two Brothers BBQ Spotlight Athlete. Blasi is ready for the season, and has the confidence in all of his coaches and teammates to make a great season. 

“I am feeling confident coming into it, even though we have to replace some really good players, I feel like our coaches do a great job getting young guys prepared which will allow those players to do well.” Blasi said.

Blasi has spent time running routes, lifting, and working with his quarterbacks, in hopes of getting better, faster and stronger for the upcoming season. 

“I have been preparing by trying to run routes with our quarterbacks as much as possible,” Blasi said. “I felt like I mainly needed to get bigger, faster, and stronger, so I have been working in the weight room and doing speed training so I can do all of those things.”

With injuries affecting last season, the Eagles have some unfinished business to attend to this season, including a state title. 

“My top goal for the year is definitely a state championship,” Blasi said. “I felt like we were very close last year but there were some injuries that cost us. Secondly, I want to become an overall better leader.”

Blasi does plan on attending college after high school, although
undecided where.

“I know that I want to play sports in college but I haven’t made a decision on a school yet,” Blasi said. “As far as career I am looking into something in the sports medical field.”
