Bishop Carroll honors state championship baseball team – Presented by Aegis

It was a dream season for the Bishop Carroll baseball team.

After defeating DeSoto 7-6 in the 5A championship game, the Golden Eagles were once again state champions.

Despite being one of the perennial top teams in 5A, Carroll had not won a state title since 2012. The team was honored at the spring sports banquet last week.

What should be particularly considering for the rest of the City League and area is that the Golden Eagles return the vast majority of their team next season, including their entire outfield.

The pitching staff will also be strong, as several young pitchers are set to emerge.

It appears the Golden Eagles will not go 11 years before they win another state title.
