Bell takes 42nd at NISCA event; earns All-American honor

The National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association selected Drayden Bell from Wichita East as an All-American for the second straight year in the 50-yard freestyle race. The NISCA recognized the top 100 swimmers in each event as an All-American.

Bell, who will be a junior this year, finished with a time of 20:53, which was good enough for a tie for 42nd.

Bell is a two-time state champion in the 50-yard freestyle event. He finished with the same time this past winter at the 6A Tournament as he did at the NISCA event, while recording a time of 20:73 as a freshman.
