Riley Marx of Andale was chosen as the All Seasons Letterman of the Month for August. Marx is a standout football player and wrestler for the Indians. Last season, Marx was a first team all-league and all-state selection in football, took second in the 220 weight class division at the 4A state wrestling tournament and was the state champion in the discus and javelin at state track.

While Marx is open to throwing in college or playing football, he is soley focused on the Indians’ football team defending their state title.

“Our team goal is the same as it has always been and what we continue to strive for, a state championship, we continue to do that because of the selfless kind of players we have who are willing to do what a lot of people don’t want to,” Marx said. “Our mentality is always focused on the next game no matter the opponent, not overlooking anybody.”

Marx describes himself as a fearless player, who is willing to take on any opponent.

“I would say that I am a very physical player that loves contact and isn’t afraid of anybody,” Marx said. “I think of myself of being able to do a lot on any unit whether that be specials or offense or defense.”
