Andover Central’s Connor Cunningham – Wichita Area “Call of the Wild” Spotlight Presented by Rainier Arms

By Matt Browning

Connor Cunningham of Andover Central was chosen as the “Call of the Wild” recipient for March. Cunningham is a senior at Central.

“One of the things I love the most about being outside is there is something new you can see every day,” Cunningham said.

Being an outdoorsman has been a part of Cunningham’s life ever since he can remember. It remains a passion to this day.

“I have been hunting pretty much all of my life,” Cunningham said. “I am a really big waterfowl hunter. Every weekend of the season you can find me at my pond hunting ducks.”

Cunningham’s family has property where he goes hunting and if the weather is nice, he is usually out.

When he fishes, he goes all over the area and “wherever the fish are biting.”

Cunningham is a baseball player at Andover Central and after he graduates, he wants to go to the police academy to become an officer of the law.
