Carroll hires Edison as girls wrestling coach

Bishop Carroll hired Ed Edison as its first ever Girls Wrestling coach.

In 2002, Coach Edison started the Kansas Krusaders, an all-girls wrestling program, which grew to 40 girls
from all over the state.

Shortly after being tapped by former USA Wrestling Kansas Director Mike Juby to be the first Women’s Director for USAWKS, the Krusaders placed several at the United States Girls Wrestling Association competition and took third as a state delegation.

Athletic Director Tyler Fraizer: “We are extremely blessed to add Coach Edison to our Wrestling staff as the
inaugural Girls Head Coach,” Bishop Carroll Athletic Director Tyler Frazier said. “Coach Ed is a man of faith and a pioneer in the sport of girls wrestling in the state with over 18 years experience coaching young women. We are very excited to have him start our new program in the right direction.”
