Tobacco Free Wichita Student of the Month – Isabel McNulty, Andover High School

As a Go Red ambassador for The American Heart Association, and as an athlete at Andover, Isabel knows something about being healthy. She has promoted healthy living, and came up with her own four-week workout challenge, focusing on weight lifting and powerlifting associated with a healthy heart.

“I wanted to show it can have cardio benefits,” Isabel said. Isabel, who just finished her junior year, is not just a sprinter for Andover’s track team, but she also participates in powerlifting. She participates in National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes at school, and outside school, she helps in her church with the youth programs, and she is a manager at ICTea.

Tobacco Free Wichita & VYPE are promoting an anti-vaping campaign titled “We Won’t Get Fooled Again”. The campaign features VYPE area high school student athletes that understand vaping is tobacco’s new way of hooking a new generation of nicotine addicts. Tobacco Free Wichita and VYPE encourage all students to “Get In the Game” and ght to win the battle against tobacco addiction! If you are a high school student athlete and would like to participate, call VYPE at 316-218-3579.
